The Product Innovation & Commercialisation Award is set up to promote innovation and technology transfer in the fashion and textile industry. The awardees will be selected by an international panel consisting of prominant industrialists and academics based on the merits of the innovation, in terms of:

Judging Criteria:
(1) The significance of technological advancement;
(2) The commercial success or market potential;
(3) Impact on environment and society;
(4) Presentation.

Members of the Scientific Committee of the Conference

Eligibility:
This competition is open to all individual or company.

Requirements and Competition Details:
1.	Applicants are required to submit a 500-word abstract introducing the innovation and commercialization of the product. Once the product is accepted to enter the competition, the organizer will notify the applicants by email.
2.	Abstracts should be submitted electronically in MS word format and sent by email to the conference secretariat: tctiwc08@inet.polyu.edu.hk
3.	The applicants are required set up a presentation booth at the venue to display and present the product during the conference. The set up cost is shown in the registration form.
4.	The booth set up cost includes the installation and dismantle of one cabinet plus two chairs. Applicants are required to produce their presentation materials, e.g. banner, stand and samples etc.

The 86th Textile Institute World Conference invites entries from all over the world for the prestigious TIWC International Fashion Illustration Competition. Any unpublished fashion illustration in any media produced between 2006 and 2008 is eligible. Selected by an internationally representative jury of distinguished illustrators and fashion educators, the short listed and winning entries will be exhibited in conjunction with the Textile Institute World Conference in Hong Kong from the 18th to the 21st of November 2008.

Competition Requirements & Details:
1.	Each contestant may submit more than one entry.
2.	Contestants are required to register online  and upload their entry onto the 86th TIWC website. Each illustration must be digitized into high resolution jpg format with minimum 420mm X 297 mm (A3) in 300 dpi. Each entry should be labelled with the contestant’s name.
3.	Late and unlabelled entries will not be judged.
4.	The organizers and sponsors reserve the privilege to use all entries for publicity purpose.
5.	Sole liability for any copyright infringement found in the entry falls on the respective entrant.
6.	All decisions of the organizers are final and are not subject to appeal.

Announcement of Results
Final results will be announced on Monday, 27 October 2008 on the website. Winners will be notified individually by email.
