The Textile Institute
The Textile Institute is a unique organisation in
textiles, clothing and footwear. It was incorporated in England by a
Royal Charter granted in 1925 and is a registered charity. The
Institute has individual and corporate members in over 90 countries,
the membership covers all sectors and all disciplines in textiles,
clothing and footwear. Within the global textiles, clothing and
footwear industries the aim of the Institute is to facilitate learning,
to recognise achievement, to reward excellence and to disseminate
information.
ITC
The Institute of Textiles and Clothing (ITC) was
established in 1977 from the former Department of Textiles of the Hong
Kong Technical College with the support from the local industry. As one
of the tertiary education institutes of international recognition in
this region, ITC is unique in its multi-disciplinary nature. Its
mission is to serve the Hong Kong community by providing quality
education programmes, research and consultancy related to fashion and
textiles. Staff strength cover areas of fashion technology, fashion
design, and fashion business.
