Post Date: Thursday, July 09, 2009 Post: Assistant Fashion Designer Nature of Business: Garment trading & manufacturing Location: San Po Kong Job Duties: (1) Provide technical design services in translating design concepts to product specifications, technical drawings, and visual presentation, adapt designs for mass production, and follow up on sample making and production. (2) Follow through on patterning, evaluate fit criteria and size fitting, and execute fit corrections. (3) Coordinate with cross functional teams such as merchandising, production, retail, marketing, and other design team members for technical problem solving, and to meet design schedules and requirements. (4) Assist fashion designers in sourcing and product research on trends, colors, fabrics and trims, and related information compilation. Salary & Fringe: Competitive remuneration package to the right candidate, including 5-days week, 13-month salary, 12- No. of Vacancy: 1 Requirement: (1) Diploma or Degree holder in Fashion Design or related disciplines. (2) Hands-on experience in material sourcing and development. (3) Design collection from concept to final product (story board, illustrations, technical drawings and tech packs. No hand sketches required). (4) Good command of spoken and written English, and Mandarin. (5) Excellent command of design software is a MUST (i.e. Photoshop and Illustrator).
