Call for Eentry: Student Competitions at 2012 IFFTI Conference
You are cordially invited to two student competitions organised by the International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes (IFFTI):
1. Design Competition under the theme of “Fashion in Motion”
Students are invited to participate in the competition through creating a small stop motion film about fashion.
Stop motion is a simple animation that is using sequential visuals of objects or drawings to create an animated effect. To create a stop motion film one just needs a digital camera and Adobe Photoshop. The animation can include existing objects or own drawings and illustrations.
The film should reflect a student’s personal view about how fashion is happening or perceived in the specific cultural region where they come from.
The story told through animation can be related to contemporary as well as traditional aspects of fashion. The viewpoint might be anything from being introspective, controversial, critical or comical but story which is told through the animation should be original.
The film can refer to anything that is commonly related to the scenario of designing, manufacturing or selling fashion. This can include figures, bodies or garments but could also relate to accessories, fabrics, trims, embellishments, colors, aspects of shopping, brands & labels or views about cut and fit or functional aspects.
File format: The maximum duration of the .avi format film should be 1 minute, subject to a maximum file size of 15 MB.
